Editing & Proofreading

Home     >     Editing & Proofreading

Most people are not sure about the difference between proofreading and editing. We, therefore, feel it is important to explain the difference in order that our customers always get the desired results.

Proofreading

This is a process that entails scanning the text for grammar, syntax and spelling errors. Proofreading focuses only on the correctness of the text; the terminology and meaning of words is irrelevant here.

Editing

The process of editing concentrates more on terminology and less on form. Meanings of words and terminology have to be researched in case of doubt. It, therefore, takes longer to edit than to proofread a document.
